Numbas at The College#

Welcome to the Numbas Documentation Project for The College.

The aim of this website is to contain all the necessary information for those wishing to use Numbas at The College.

The documentation has been divided up in terms of the target audience. A list and brief description of each user group is included below.

These groups are broad, and, in some cases, there will be overlap.

  1. Guide for Writers: This group includes anyone writing questions that will appear in Numbas, and reviewers who will check questions written in Numbas. Documentation in this section will focus on pedagogy and procedures.

  2. Numbas users: This group includes anyone involved in preparing questions and exams in the Numbas editor. Documentation at this level will be more high-level and targeted directly at breaking down questions to rebuild inside Numbas (and other associated programs/websites).

  3. Post-Numbas end-users: This group includes staff and students that will experience the final product (i.e., the Numbas quiz/exam). Documentation will be targeted at using/deploying quizzes inside vUWS as well as analytics and ongoing support.
